# Unit 6: **Healing**

- Jesus never denied healing to those who asked him to be healed.
- Jesus never denied healing for sin that had yet to be resolved.
- Jesus healed every single person who came to him for healing.

**Why Jesus healed as he did:**
(6.4)[^bsn]

1. **W:** Healing is God's **will**.
1. **C:** Healing is part of the **character** of God.
1. **N:** Healing is part of the **nature** of God
1. **A:** Healing is an **attribute of God**.
1. **SL:** **God's Words are spirit and life**.
1. **WM:** **Jesus was the Word manifested**.

**SL-WMN-WAC**

- Healing is an innate property of Christ.
- Sickness is a bondage of Satan, not God.
- **John 3:16** -- Jesus gave of His life for us because of his love for us.
- Jesus not only can heal, but greatly desires to do so.

Jesus' cousin John the Baptist, one of the few that had somewhat of a grasp of who Jesus truly was, was beheaded unceremoniously over the clash of adulterous guilt, shame, rage, revenge and an incestuous drunken lust. **Jesus went away to grieve but when the multitudes came for healing, he set aside his own need and ministered to them.**
(6.11)[^bsn]

- **Healing, like Salvation, is for all.**
- God is not sick. We are in his image.
- God's will is healing.
